Abstract
This tutorial describes the installation of Subversion (SVN). SVN is a Version Control System we use in the development of OPN
Background
If you want to have always up to date version of OPN, you can use SVN. SVN may be used in a Dos Window or you can use a graphical user interface, e. RapidSVN.
Preparation:
You can use SVN with different Operating Systems. If you use Windows, you can find the Windows section at the bottom of the SVN Downloadpage at subversion.tigris.org/. I used the Windows Installer version. Download the file and start it.
Installation
The installation starts with this screen:
Go further reading the license:
Accept the license and get a screen with some hints (Stop Apache if it's running):
You are asked for a directory to install. I choosed the default:

Now check if your Subversion is working:
Open a Dos Box and enter:
svn help
You should read something like this:
