Well, that is a problem that I've had with other things..BUT, it might also be something for OPN to consider?
Many of my WebAdmin friends also have 'shared accounts' from a purely financial standpoint. In my case, it's also a matter of not having the Linux hosting expertise, so it is always a trade off.
Thanks

Sorry your guess is wrong.
Cause the most installations are without the Turck mmcache extension.
Maybe I can check this when this extension is avalible for windows. Cause my dev computer runs with windows.

I'm afraid that I can't do that. My account is a 'shared' linux account, and I don't have control over which modules are turned on and off. My guess (hope) is that this is a fairly 'standard' installation.

Can ou deactivate the Turck mmcache PHP extesion?
When yes, deactivate it and try it again please. Maybe this extension makes the problems.

I've tested it on three Sites (here, the german OPN site and my site).
On all three sites I can't see this error message.
So some questions about your enviroment.
WhichPHP version?
Which webserver is there running? Apache or IIS?
When Apache which version?

I downloaded the program yesterday, and am still very much poking my way around. In the process of this investigation, I went to the admin menu, and clicked on the "Update" icon. I got the following:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class in /home/virtual/site19/fst/var/www/html/opn/class/class.update.php on line 0
And below that there is a status bar that has appeared to be active for just over 3 minutes now. What I would have expected to see is a text message that either said: You have the latest code, or There are updates availale.
