Posts: xweber's assertion that you cannot sell GPL'd software is incorrect. You are, in fact allowed sell GPL'd software as long as you do not try to sell it as proprietary software. If you modify it, you must keep your modifications also GPL licensed, but you do not have to ask anyone's permission to sell it or charge a fee to set it up.

Therefore, you are completely free to use any GPL'd software to set up a website and you are perfectly free to charge a fee for that service. If in setting it up, you make some modifications to the software you are required by law to contribute those changes under the terms of the GPL. However, you are not required to ask anyone's permission to use GPL'd software commercially or for any imaginable or unimaginable purpose.
