Hi,
Just installed your beautiful software and I'm really pleased with it. I just have a little problem: when I log on the first time, I don't get an Admin menu and therefore I can't continue to work.
Anybody knows why and what to do?

Does the cookie exist?
Are you really logged on?
If you are correctly logged on, you will the some more boxen (an of course the link for the administration area)

Yes, I'm really logged on (as far as I know).
What is this about a cookie?

A cookie will be created at logon for (re-)identification reasons.

Hmmm, good question. Just rebootet my server but still the same result.
In case it matters, the server is a Debian Linux server. Freshly installed with out all the normal stuff and only with the bare necessities.

Maybe I should explain a bit further. The screen I see have only two menus: The Menu with Home,Logout, Register and Account links. The Login menu with nickname and password fields. It doesn't seem to do anything when I fill out the field and try to login. No messages what so ever!
It doesn't seem right. Have I missed at step in the installation or forgotten to chmod some folders or files? Can't figure it out.
Any help will be appreciated very much!

until you can see the "logon box" (username & password field) you are not logged on. Thats the reason why you cant see the adminitration menu.
Now the problems seems to be, why you are not able to log in. There is a little attack protection in opn's logon system. So you dont have endless try's to get in the systems. After the third failed attemp you need to wait a bit of time until your next try.
However - two possible reasons why login fails:
1. username and/or password are incorrect. Try a new, fresh install of opn (delete all tables in opn's database before reinstall)
2. your browser does not accept cookies. That may be the default setting for some linux based browsers.
You may check the browser thing by registering here at this site. If you logged on after - cookies should not be the problem

Thanks for your advice and your time, Alex, I'll try and work on it again tomorrow when I go back to work.

Just made a reinstall and I still have exactly the same problem: no admin menu!
If I try to go to the http://"mysite"/opn/admin.php it just goes back to the index.php page.
Any ideas other than the ones already posted?

Just tried again with no luck (I tried to alter some settings). Do I have to install an Admin module for it to work? Isn't that default?
