Hi everyone!
I am very sorry for such a late reply, I have just been so busy with exams and things. I have since removed 2.1.0 and replaced with 2.1.1 as well as changing servers. I have now run the install.php and found the language selection in the header. I can now read it in English! I don't know if the problem was that particular upload, or the server. Anyway, I didn't give up! and wish to thank you all for not giving up with me!
Thanks again.

Good news, thanks for info

Always good to get feedback. If you have an OPN project, show us the link, I'm always curious what people are doing with OPN.

Good luck

I have a server with cpanel. Well...I have finally got it installed on my public_html directory so that when I type in my subdomain URL, it is displayed. Firstly the .htaccess file already present on the server ment that the OPN htaccess conflicted. Therefore, I removed the already present one, and replaced with the OPN htaccess and renamed it from #.htaccess to .htaccess. I also overwrited the 2 already present folders (which were empty) called images and cgi_bin with OPN's. However, I am now getting loads of errors as I navigate about the control panel and things. I am wondering if I installed it right. The instructions just say "upload" and I don't know what and where to!
Can I install it so that I don't have it in a sub directory?

The URL is: http://www.alansprinting.treydogghour.com and I can't login anymore as it comes to errors. I was able to first time as the errors came up but then logged me in. Then, as I was browsing in the Admin CP I got many other errors. Now, I am unable to get past the errors.

I have uploaded this many times over (core & full-both take most of the day to upload) so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well I have to update the documentation asap....thanks for the hints to improve this document.

It's enough to download the core system to test installation. If the installation is ok, without errors, it's very easy to upload and install the other modules.
So please check with the core system and you will save time for the upload.

If you unpack the OPN zip files, you get a directory tree:
openphpnuke/html/ a lot of directories.

You don't want to use a subdirectory (No subdirectory is necessary ), so in your case upload all files and directories which are located in /html to your directory /public_html.

You should get something like this at your webserver:
/public_html
index.html
master.php
install.php
....some more files
/admin
/api
/....a lot more of directories and subdirectories

Use a good FTP program. Read in the doku about Chapter 3.2.6 FTP Transfer .

Ask me if there are further questions

OK thanks for your help once again! . That's exactly how it is setup now, so at least I know that is OK. I have studied the errors (with my 0% knowledge ) and it seems that it is saying that files are missing, hence why actions are not taking place. Looking at the size of the folder, it is no where as big as the folder on my local drive, so I am thinking that it may be the FTP program? I am using SmartFTP, maybe I will try something else as it takes hours to upload the core pack at 512k.

Thanks again, I'll have another go!

YAY!!!
I decided to try v 2.1.0 instead of v 2.1.1. I now have no errors!!
Thanks for all your help. I think you need to check v 2.1.1
Regards,
