Installation problem - step 2 submitting gives blank page

Posted: 2004-05-21 01:30

When trying to install, I can enter in the details for step 2 of 7 on the php form provided by install.php. If I enter the physical path incorrectly I get an error message. If I enter it correctly (at least I think its correct) I get a blank page with no error message.

running on debian linux (php4 4.3.4-4, apache-perl 1.3.29.0.2-4 mysql 4.0.18-5)
Using the openphpnuke-2.0.2-full.tgz file downloaded from this site.
install.php resides in: /www/htdocs/opn2/html (which Ive used as the physical path)

The main issue is that I dont get any error message so I have no idea whats broken and what to fix.

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi,
could you explain your entries? use some XXX to hide the true info but it's very difficult to decide about your entries without any info.

Unfortunately the box has since been rebuilt so I cant give further information.
However I did look through all the apache log files and tail -f them when making the situation occur. There werent any errors reported (in logs or onscreen).
From memory I was using mysql as the database, with no extra options. Everything else was standard with the path's really being the only other things to change from memory. The database and user for it did exist.

Since we donīt have any bug messages from other users concerning installer we hope the installer is working fine.
