I achieved a succesfull installation on a local machine but, when uploaded to my ISP, the admin functions do not work...

Much of the text looks like

_ADMINID Instead of Admin ID

most of the commands once the admin page shows are the same....

when trying to run admin functions, an empty page is generated

One thing I noticed that is different between my local setup and the ISP is the following message

Error
The additional Features for working with linked Tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here.

Is this the cause ? should I change ISPs or continue to look for another setup problem?

A bit of additional information.... linking from the error message I get

PMA Database ... not OK[ Documentation ]
General relation features Disabled

I guess this means the MySQL installation does not allow table linking

This is a message from PMA. This told you that PMA can not use a PMA special feature.
This message has nothing to do with the OPN problem.
With which FTP program did you made the upload?
Some FTP programs have problems with the amount of files from OPN and did not upload all files.

H.O.M.B.E.R.G.S.: Hydraulic Obedient Machine Built for Efficient Repair and Galactic Sabotage

There are no problems, only defiances.

I used Cuteftp for the bulk of the upload.
I did this in sections as it was a large upload.
The error is probably mine rather than the ftp client as it was dialup and I didn't check the log.
Rather than just re-install, I will download and do a diff on the files against the local install to be sure if that's the problem.
It will take a while as work beckons... but will post back.

thanks

Chris
